Volunteering at Uppertunity comes in two meaningful forms:
🌟 Inclusive volunteering opportunities for our members, designed to build confidence, skills, and independence in a supported environment.
🤝 Supportive volunteer roles for individuals who want to help us deliver activities, prepare food, run events, and create welcoming, inclusive spaces.
Whether you're looking to develop your own skills or support others to grow, there’s a place for you at Uppertunity.

Some manual labour required, ability to work with tools safely and manage others.

Support our catering and food events by helping with food prep, service, and clean-up. A great way to gain skills! Ability to use a knife safely and stand for 2 hours required.

Help facilitate our creative, active, or life-skill groups alongside our team. Support our members, come up with ideas and bring some fun energy.
Tasks include setting up creative groups, encouraging and helping members to create their visions, cleaning up after and more.

We have a large amount of green space outside at Dudhope Castle that needs regular maintenance, especially in summer. This is a great opportunity to get fresh air, get in contact with nature and be part of maintaining a public area!
Tasks involve watering large areas, weeding, outdoor furniture painting and more.

Lend a hand at events and outings, from setting up to facilitating and making everyone feel welcome. A fun way to connect and contribute!
Some tasks can be serving drinks, directing people, announcements and cleaning up.
