Serendipities is a social enterprise cafe set up by Uppertunity and it is located at 12 Union Street in Dundee's city centre. It serves delicious plant-based food and responsibly sourced hot drinks, doing everything in its power to reduce wastage and be as friendly to the ecosystem as possible.
Serendipities is not just a cafe though - we also hope it will act as a space for the local community and bring everyone together through a calendar of regular events and workshops. From local musicians using the space to do a gig to guest chefs coming in to do cooking workshops, Serendipities will have a little bit of everything to bring Dundee together!
All the homemade baking for Serendipities is done right here in Uppertunity's Change Makers Kitchen by our wonderful volunteers, who also help out in the cafe itself serving customers. Opening this cafe space opens us up to providing even more opportunities for Uppertunity members, as well as the community at large.
We make sure to partner up with other social enterprises and third sector organisations to ensure we provide the best service we possibly can, and create bonds within the community.
Through Serendipities we also have our own catering service, offering our scrumptious eco-friendly goods and tailoring our service for each function. Reusable utensils will be used whenever possible, or bio-degradable disposable products for larger functions. Prices for this service range from £4 to £8.50 per head depending on the food package you select, don't hesitate to get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
We're open from 8am (10am on Saturdays) until around 5pm depending on the day, pop on in to pay us a visit sometime!
Serendipities has its own separate website, including a full menu of the goods we offer! Go to serendipities.co.uk for further information.
